Lipstick Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 15 619 120 482), trading as Nexus Association Management (“Nexus”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Who we are

Nexus Association Management provides executive education, advisory and association management services to boards, CEOs and not-for-profit leaders. We are the entity responsible for the personal information collected through this website and our courses.

2. What information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, organisation and role.
  • Enrolment and transaction information — the courses or resources you request, and records of purchases (we do not store full payment card numbers — see Payments below).
  • Communications — the content of emails, enquiries and capability-call bookings.
  • Technical information — your IP address, browser type, device and basic usage analytics collected automatically when you visit the site.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information) and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — for example when you download a free resource, request a course prospectus, book a capability call, enrol in a course, or contact us. Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and analytics (see our Cookie Policy).

4. Why we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • deliver the resources, prospectuses and courses you have requested;
  • process enrolments and respond to your enquiries;
  • send you relevant updates and educational content where you have opted in;
  • improve our website, content and services; and
  • meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent necessary. These currently include:

  • Netlify — website hosting and form capture.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit) — email list management and marketing.
  • Calendly — scheduling of capability calls.
  • Our payment processor — to handle course payments securely. Card details are entered directly with the processor and are not stored by us.
  • Our learning platform — to host and deliver enrolled courses.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

6. Storage & security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including through reputable providers with their own security controls. While we work hard to safeguard your data, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including those listed above) are based overseas, primarily in the United States. By using this site and our services, you acknowledge that your information may be stored and processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, email us at hello@thenexuscollective.au. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.

9. Email and marketing

Where you have opted in, we may send you educational content and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. You can also email us to be removed from our lists.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at hello@thenexuscollective.au so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, will always be available on this page.
